
LSUA is proud to offer instituion pay for students using MonitorEDU for proctored exams. Students will no longer will pay out of pocket for a session beginning Fall 2026.
To ensure a smooth and successful exam experience, you must meet the following requirements and have two devices ready and tested in advance.
General Requirements
- Have a valid photo ID ready to show at the start of your session.
- Private Testing Space: You must be in a room by yourself with no one else present.
- Clear Workspace: Your testing area should be clean and free of any clutter, papers, or prohibited items.
- Testing Surface: You must be seated at a hard surface such as a desk or table.
- Proper Seating: You must sit in a chair. Testing is not allowed on sofas, beds, or other furniture with compartments or cushions.
- Attire: You must be fully dressed. No hats, hoodies, headphones, watches, or smart glasses.
- Environment Scan: You will need to complete a full 360° scan of your testing environment showing all four walls, over the desk, above the desk, and below your desk.
Device Requirements
You will need two devices:
- Primary Device: A computer or laptop with a working webcam to take your exam on.
- Secondary Device: A smartphone with a working camera and the Google Meet app installed.
- Both devices must have a reliable internet connection and be connected to a power source.

- Install Google Meet on Your Phone:
- Download the Google Meet app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Test Your Video & Audio Connection:
- Follow the instructions listed on our FAQ page to test both your cell phone and webcam to ensure everything works properly.
- Test Screen Share on Your Computer:

- Test Your Phone Placement - Your phone must be positioned to clearly show:
- You, your workspace, and computer screen
- Any allowed materials must be placed between you and your phone

Scheduling Your Exam
Scheduling your exam is highly recommended.

- Complete the scheduling form and click submit
- Please do not use capital letters in your email address when scheduling.
- Once you submit the form, you will receive a confirmation email with the link to connect on exam day.
- Make sure you connect using this link-it ensures you receive top priority.
Rescheduling:
- You may reschedule your exam up to 24 hours in advance.
- The reschedule link is included in your confirmation email.
- Click “Edit Submission”.
- Make the appropriate changes.
- If you miss your scheduled date, you may still test on demand.
At the Time of the Exam
Please follow the appropriate steps below based on how you are testing. Failure to follow these instructions could result in a delay connecting with a proctor.
Did You Schedule Your Exam?
Follow the instructions provided in your confirmation email and use the link included there to connect with a proctor at your scheduled exam time.
IMPORTANT: If you scheduled your exam, do not use the general “Connect to Proctor” link. Use the connection link in your confirmation email to receive priority for your scheduled time.
Testing On Demand?
- From your computer, click this link: Connect To Proctor-On Demand Testing
- Click “Connect to Proctor”

- Confirm you’re in the correct environment.
- Confirm you can achieve proper phone placement.
- Complete the Mobile Device Readiness Agreement.
- Complete the Testing Device Readiness Check and Agreement.
- Allow Camera
- Allow Microphone
- Share Entire Screen

- Confirm power and internet readiness.
- Complete the required form:
- Fill out all fields
- Upload a photo of your ID and a selfie

- Acknowledge and Agree to MonitorEDU rules.
- Click “Connect to Proctor”
- Confirm your information and click “New Conversation.” Your details will prefill.

- Click “Start Chat” to notify the proctor you’re ready.
- Remain active until a proctor joins.
- When a proctor joins, it will add the proctor's name to the top of the chat session.


If the chat feature won’t open or if you experience issues, please click “Trouble Connecting” and that will redirect you to a backup chat.

Follow the Proctor’s Guidance
The proctor will assist you with setup and launching your exam. Please follow their instructions carefully to avoid any delays or violations.
