Before the start of a new semester, Distance Learning will send each Dean and Department Chair a Smart Sheet to request Academic Assistants.  The following is a guide on how to reply to the Smart Sheet.


1.  An email will generate from Smartsheet Automation and will look like this:


2.  Open this email and then select the BLUE "OPEN REQUEST" button:



3.  Once you select the "OPEN REQUEST" you will be asked to approve and provide information requested about the Academic Assistant and then press SUBMIT UPDATE


The Dean approval status options are: Approved, Limited or Denied.


4.  Once submitted, the following auto-confirmation will populate: 


If you were to open the email again and click “go to sheet”, you would have to find the applicant’s name, but the information will have auto populated.
