1. Accessing Shadow Health
- Open your web browser and go to: https://shadowhealth.com 
- Click “Login” (top-right corner). 
- Enter your institution email and password. - If this is your first time, select “Register for a Student Account” and follow the prompts. 
- You may need your course invite link or access code provided by your instructor. 
 
- Once logged in, select your course from the dashboard. 
2. System Requirements
✅ Supported browsers: Chrome, Firefox, or Edge (latest versions).
✅ A computer/laptop with reliable internet.
✅ Headset with microphone (some assignments use voice).
3. Navigating the Platform
- Dashboard – Lists all assigned modules (e.g., Health History, Respiratory, Neurological). 
- Assignments – Click an assignment to launch the simulation. 
- Grades & Feedback – After completion, you can review your performance and instructor feedback. 
4. Completing a Digital Clinical Experience
- Launch the Assignment – Click the module name (e.g., Focused Exam: Cough). 
- Meet Your Patient – A virtual patient appears (ex: Tina Jones). 
- Patient Interview - Type your questions in the chat box (use natural language like “Do you have any allergies?”). 
- The patient will respond in real time. 
 
- Physical Assessment - Select the appropriate body system. 
- Perform inspection, palpation, auscultation, etc. (using on-screen tools). 
 
- Documentation - Record your findings in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) provided. 
 
- Submit - Once finished, click Submit Assignment. 
- You will see a performance summary and receive credit. 
 
5. Tips for Success
- Use clinical language in your questions (not casual conversation). 
- Explore different questioning styles (open-ended vs. closed). 
- Always complete Documentation – it counts toward your grade. 
- Review feedback reports after submission to identify areas for improvement.
